NEW CATEGORIES PLEASE

I think some new categories should be added:

1: Dedicated to FPV flying or First Person View Flying. Where with the aid of wireless cams, vr goggles and a few other bits an pieces, one can pilot your heli , plane or car for that matter, as if seated in the vehicle.

2: Aerial Photography and Video. (Not TV aerials)

I would consider adding a Aerial photography and video forum but definitely not the FPV as such. I'd be more than willing to let the whole FPV section fall under the afore mentioned though as I don't think either will really see too much discussion unless someones going to make an effort to get and keep information flowing in them.

At the end of the day we need to ensure we don't have the precious little info we have coming and being discussed too wide spread over endless amounts of catagories.

Let's see what the others and the big boss says.

I think this is a great suggestion!

Trying to find out about camera mountings/setup/downlinks in this country is not easy to say the least. Where can you buy remote camera mountings or do people make it themselves? Downlinks? There are so many questions that for the life of me I can't get any information in SA. Using a small heli, and "not so good" elastic and tie downs, my aerial photography is going nowhere fast! Please, if someone has any advice regarding where to look for camera mounts and downlink systems, it would be much appreciated.

Hi Michael, thank you for the suggestion and I have created a section for you called Aerial photography and Video.

The best suggestion I have is to contact some of the guys that do aerial photography and ask them if you can pick their brain a bit on where they get their stuff.
