Futaba 6EX 2.4 GHz

Hi Everyone

As a newbie please if possible could someone help me.

I have just purchased a Futaba 6EX 2.4 GHz (6 Channel) for use with a Heli to be purchased later when funds are available.

However in meantime I want to use this radio for a Tamiya Elec car with a ESC, can this be done. Some dealers have said yes others no?

Receivers voltage is less than 7.2V so I can use a receiver battery pack and not the 7.2V car battery, I am not concerned about weight as car is only for back yard fun with family and dogs!!

Please advise on possibilty of this and "How To"?

Hi Larry

If you have a matching radio and receiver, this should be 100% possible.  Use the receiver battery as you suggested and then throttle channel and rudder channel, this should work.
